Teradata made its enterprise-grade Data Analyst Agent available in AWS Marketplace, giving customers a procurement path for AI-assisted conversational analytics inside existing AWS environments.
The company said the agent orchestrates SQL queries on the Teradata platform and uses Python within AWS to perform iterative statistical analysis. It is designed to answer business-user questions without requiring data movement or custom model training.
Agentic Analytics Meets Existing Data
Teradata is positioning the release around a practical enterprise AI problem: many organizations want AI-assisted analytics, but they do not want to rebuild data architecture or move governed datasets into separate systems.
The Data Analyst Agent supports secure pushdown processing, adapts to existing data models and maintains conversational context for follow-up analysis. Teradata said it uses Amazon Bedrock AgentCore for memory and session management.
Marketplace Procurement Matters
Availability through AWS Marketplace is more than a distribution detail. Enterprise buyers often prefer marketplace procurement because it can fit existing cloud commitments, vendor review processes and budget controls.
For analytics teams, the more important question is whether agentic workflows can produce reliable answers while respecting governance, lineage, compliance and access controls already built into data platforms.
The Bottom Line
Teradata’s AWS Marketplace release gives customers another route to test governed AI analytics against existing enterprise data. The value will depend on whether the agent can shorten analysis cycles without creating unmanaged data movement or unreviewed model output.
