Synack has earned an “Awardable” designation from the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace for its Sara AI Pentesting offering.
Awardable status means government customers can evaluate Synack’s AI-powered continuous security validation technology via Tradewinds. Synack Sara AI Pentesting combines agentic AI technology with the Synack Red Team to help government security teams test their expanding digital attack surfaces.

What the Awardable Designation Means
Synack says the platform identifies exploitable risks and helps teams prioritize findings based on mission requirements. Tradewinds is a Solutions Marketplace that aims to streamline procurement and adoption of AI, machine learning, data, and analytics solutions for federal customers.
Solution vendors that achieve Awardable status are showcased via post-competition pitch videos. Products are evaluated via formalized competition processes and scoring rubrics.
Synack’s video outlines how Sara AI can help government organizations continuously test their attack surface with AI-powered pentesting validated by Synack’s human red team.

Combining AI Speed With Human Expertise
“In offense and defense, AI is changing the speed and scale of digital attacks,” Mark Kuhr, CTO and co-founder of Synack, said in a statement. Kuhr said Synack built Sara to blend the speed of AI with human validation from Synack’s network of vetted researchers.
Sara uses agentic AI to perform reconnaissance, map attack surfaces, and validate potential exploits at scale. Human experts assist with determining whether or not each finding is real, exploitable under real-world conditions, and mission relevant for the customer.

Helping Federal Agencies Strengthen Cybersecurity
“Cyber adversaries are increasingly using AI to hunt across our digital attack surfaces, while government agencies struggle to keep pace, often limited to periodic testing programs,” Mark Dunn vice president of public sector at Synack, said. “Tradewinds recognition provides Department of Defense customers a direct path to evaluate Sara AI Pentesting and how Synack can help them shift to continuous testing and validation.”
Synack characterizes its broader security platform as a Human + AI security model for continuous pentesting. The company has supported nearly 10 million hours of human-directed security testing across customer networks.
